Sliced Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
The short version: Sliced uses your videos only to edit them for you. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
This policy explains how CeeBee Studios LLC ("we") handles information when you use the Sliced app ("Sliced").
What we collect
- Videos and audio you choose to edit. When you pick or film a video and tap Slice, Sliced uploads a copy (and, for some videos, the original file) to our servers so it can be edited. This includes any people, voices and products in that footage.
- Words spoken in your videos. We turn the speech in your videos into text so Sliced can find your best takes, cut mistakes and add captions.
- Your edits. The changes you make in the editor (cuts, text, overlays, voiceovers, settings) so you can come back to them.
- Things you send us. Problem reports and feature requests you write in the app.
- App and device information. Basic technical logs (for example app version, timing of steps and error messages) that help us fix bugs, and a push notification token so we can tell you when a video is ready.
Permissions on your iPhone
- Photos: to let you pick the videos you want to edit, and to save finished videos back to your camera roll.
- Camera and microphone: to film inside Sliced and to record voiceovers.
- Notifications: to tell you when your videos are ready and to show slicing progress.
You can change any of these in your iPhone's Settings at any time.
How we use it
- To edit your videos: finding takes, cutting dead space, planning cuts and zooms, picking B-roll, making captions and exporting the finished video.
- To keep the app working and improve it, including fixing bugs and making edits more accurate.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share your videos publicly. Your videos are only posted anywhere if you choose to share them yourself.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers to run Sliced, only for the purposes above:
- Modal (cloud servers in the United States) stores your uploads and edits and runs the editing.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) receives the text of what's said in your videos, and for some features still frames from them, to plan the edit. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Apple and Expo deliver notifications and app updates.
How long we keep it
- Original video files sent for editing are deleted automatically shortly after the editing copy is made.
- Editing copies, your edits and finished videos stay in your account until you delete them or ask us to.
- Technical logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
Your choices
You can delete videos in the app, and you can ask us to delete all of your data or send you a copy by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Sliced is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
